Newest skincare treatment in Town!

This past week I had the opportunity to try a new skincare treatment at Skin Resolutions called Sapphire 3 Therapy. It's more than a facial ... it's very relaxing, but there's really not too much pampering involved, rather it's a more clinical approach and more of a treatment for skin issues. The Sapphire 3 Therapy is a combination treatment that addresses fine lines, large pores, hyperpigmentation, dehydrated skin, collagen production, acne and scars.

Sound too good to be true? Well, this therapy uses four steps in it's approach.

1. Sapphire Abrasion (crystal free) -- feels much like microdermabrasion and basically exfoliates the skin allowing for better penetration of the products used. Exfoliation always helps the appearance of skin, making it feel and look fresher and improves texture of skin.

2. Red Monochromatic Light is used throughout the facial. This micro current and high frequency stimulates fibroblasts in the connective tissue -- in English, this means it promotes the production of collagen and elasticity of the skin (I could use some of that!)

3. Blue light therapy -- This light therapy helps treat bacteria on the skin which can cause acne.

4. Lymphatic drainage -- clearing the lymph system (by this treatment or a body massage etc) pushes toxins through the body to rid the body of excess waste. Lymphatic drainage is good for overall health.

So, did I like the facial and the treatment?? Yes!...and here's why...first, I really appreciate the approach of this therapy. In esthetician school we learned about different treatments and their effectiveness (all of these listed above), but combining them all together is an effective facial. For me personally, I would like all of the benefits listed above (softens fine lines, etc), but my main concern right now is hyperpigmentation and fine lines and in the past three days I have seen an improvement in my skin from just this one treatment (mainly with smaller pores and softer lines on my forehead). I think to really be effective, I would need to get the treatment 6-10 which is recommended.

Skin Resolutions is the ONLY skincare spa in SB that offers this treatment. AND you could drive to L.A. for this treatment, but you will definitely be paying more! My esthetician was Zan Perry and she was super (she's been an esthetician for 20 years). If you schedule one of these treatments, email me and tell me your thoughts! I would love to hear from you!
